In my opinion, staff lunches together are incredibly important for culture-building. During our staff trainings, we make it clear to our professional development leaders that we will give our staff a 90-minute lunch. I know of very few jobs where staff members are confined to a thirty-minute lunch period like our staff is during the school year. Therefore, one days we are not restricted by the daily bell schedule we want to give our staff a chance to really enjoy some quality time with friends and colleagues.
Finally, in the pictures below you see our staff eating at The Buffet at Meskwaki Casino Hotel. We purchased a buffet lunch for all 240 staff and our board members. Very rarely do we get to treat out staff to lunch...so when we have the chance we like to go all-out!!
