Newspapers might be what they once were, but there's still something special about seeing you or someone you know in the newspaper. I have my secretary look through our local newspaper for anything to do with our staff our our students. She cuts them out and laminates them and then gives them to me. I then write the employee or the student a short positive note. Even more important, I hand deliver the photo and the note to the individual who receives the clipping. By doing so, many times this helps match the face with the name...or allows me to to check in on that staff member without it being awkward.
