About midway through this past school year I heard that our Director of Curriculum and Social Services Shauna Smith was working on a special project that would highlight the work being done in our district. Specifically, Shauna wanted to create a video emphasizing the commitment of our students and our staff to overcoming obstacles and achieving goals. The end result was this amazing video called "Road of Achieving Milestones (or ROAM for short). Shauna worked with Joe Tafta (amazing videographer and honorary school district DJ), Dan Lopez, and other high school staff to pull this together. Having finished products such as this can be perfect for communicating stories and motivating your community. Already, we have played the video at parent-teacher conferences, an all-staff training, and at our 9th grade transition day.
